My Trip To Kasauli.

Hey there, it’s me Jerry Garrett, and today I am going to be talking about my recent trip to Kasauli.

This Sunday, we went on a road trip to Kasauli. It was about 50 km from our starting location, and it was going to take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach there. We left directly from church at around 11:30. During the drive, we played a few songs, and I took my camera out of its bag so that I could start taking photos. For about 30 minutes, it was just a straight highway. Later on, the bends started, but it was not that hard or bad because the entire road was a 4 lane highway, so there was not really any struggle.

I continued to take pictures as we went along. For example, I took photos of the Welcome to Himachal Pradesh sign, along with a few more views that looked good. Here are some of the pictures I took on the way.

Since it was only a 50 km drive, we decided that we did not need to take any breaks in between, so we went straight to the resort. We stayed at Jungle Lodge Resort in Dharampur. We reached by around 12:30, and since the check in was not until 2, we decided to walk around the resort for a bit. We spent about 15 minutes exploring the outdoor games area and locating the pool. We also played a little bit of basketball, and I managed to get one shot inside the hoop. Later, we went to get lunch.

We ordered Murgh Masala gravy, garlic naan, honey chilli cauliflower, and a few other breads. I did not expect too much from the food. Of course, I had some standards, but since we were at a new place, I did not think it would be great. But oh my, I was completely wrong. The food was awesome, especially the Murgh Masala gravy. It was really really good, and I absolutely loved it. Once we were completely full, we went back to the room.

The room that we got was really big, and it was good. It was a suite room, so it had a living room, a balcony, and two bedrooms, with separate bathrooms as well. Because of that, everything was easier and much more comfortable for us.

I rested for a bit until around 4, and then I headed to the swimming pool. This was the first time I was going to swim in a heated pool. I changed into my clothes, took a warm shower, and then went into the pool. Swimming in warm water while it was cold outside felt really good. It was not hot, but you were not shivering either. I spoke for a while with some people who were there, and they were also from Panchkula. About 15 minutes later, my brother and my parents joined me.

We swam together for a while, and my brother and I mostly played games with the ball, even though we do know how to swim. Once we were done, I took another shower and changed my clothes. In total, I swam for about 50 minutes. After returning to the room, I started playing guitar.

I practiced the guitar so that we could worship in the evening. We like to sing songs and worship with the guitar, and it is fun, helps us learn to sing, and praises the Lord. Once I practiced for about 30 minutes, we ordered room service. Usually, we always go to the restaurant, but this time we decided to eat together in the room since it was quite large. We ordered Murgh Dhaniya Korma, and I got breads to go along with it. It was good and I liked it, but nothing could beat the first Murgh Masala we had earlier.

Later in the evening, we worshipped together. My brother asked my father a few questions, we prayed, and then we went to bed.

The next day, I woke up early at 6:30 because I wanted to see the sunrise. I took my camera and walked around the resort, trying to find a good spot to take a photo. Unfortunately, none of the locations faced east, so by around 7:00, I came back to the room defeated. After that, we went for breakfast.

There was no one else there, but the buffet was still set up, unlike some resorts I have seen before. I took some bread, some chicken, and a few cupcakes. I also ordered a masala dosa. We sat there eating for about 45 minutes. After breakfast, my brother, my mom, and I went back to the room, and I went to take a bath.

I got ready in about 45 minutes. Once I was done, I went outside, recorded a short guitar video, and started packing my things. By the time I finished packing, it was around 11:00, and it was time to vacate. After a final check, we began the vacating process, and by 11:30, we were able to leave the resort.

We were a little more nervous on the way back because there were many climbs, but we managed them just fine. We did encounter a small traffic jam, but after that, the drive was smooth. We went slow and steady because of all the bends. When we reached Pinjore, we took a short break and clicked a few photos. After that, we did not stop anywhere else and reached home by around 12:30.

As soon as we reached home, we changed and went out to eat lunch.

And that is it for this post. See you all next week.
